A true songwriter at heart, Jonnie Morgan is a storyteller. He has a unique gift for being able to take any story or idea and turn it into a beautifully written song about any occasion. Whether it is a moment in time or a love that has unfolded over many decades, he captures the essence of the emotion within a 2-3 minute song. Jonnie's smooth and melodic vocals only seem to complement and add tohis style of thoughtful lyrics and intricate guitar riffs.
In 2017, Jonnie was awarded JBL Professionals #1 Songwriter in the nation by legendary producer Quincy Jones and hit songwriter Andrew McMahon for their Eon One Take contest (www.eononetake.com). Frequently touring the eastern United States, Jonnie has entertained audiences from the NCAA SEC Opening Day Fan Fair in Nashville to the ACUI World Wide Conference. Along with playing festivals throughout the South, including Sunfest, Jonnie has also had the honor to headline Florida Music Festival three times and has shared the stage with notable acts: Edwin McCain, Cheap Trick, Relient K, Sammy Hagar, Tim Reynolds from Dave Matthews Band and many more.
Recently, Jonnie has been focusing on more intimate experiences by doing House Concert tours, Songwriting Festivals and writing custom songs for fans around the world. When asked why he’s shifted his focus from bigger festivals to smaller rooms and writing stories for others he said, “There’s something raw and emotional about being in a room full of strangers who are totally engaged and connected. When it comes to the custom songs, sometimes it’s hard for people to put into words what they want to say. That’s where I come in, that’s my job. This is my gift to the world.”
